Made it thru another week last week and this is the start of a new week  January 11th thru January 17th. We have a got a busy, busy week in our household so hopefully I will get around to making everything on the menu this week.  I did pretty good on going by the menu plan last week, it saves time in thinking about what you are having at night and saves money at the grocery store if you know you have those items on hand to make that certain dish. There will be a couple of nights this week, that we will need to have something really quick, Aubrie is competing in her first Winterguard Competition this weekend, we are so excited and she loves doing this so much.

Monday- Grilled Hamburger Steak, Pasta Salad, Baked Beans, Stuffed Jalenpo Peppers

Tuesday- Homemade Egg Rolls, Summer Sausage
Wednesday- Chili Dogs,Fries

Thursday-Fried Fish, Hushpuppies, Baked Beans

Friday- Soup & Sandwiches (Winterguard Dress Rehearsal)

Saturday-Winterguard Competititon all day in McKinney, Texas

Sunday- Grill Steak, Baked Potatoes,

Today is a beautiful day outside, very cold it is 26 degrees and temperature is going to fall from there, I think it was 33 this morning when I awoke at 5:30.  I am doing great on my menu this week and sticking to things, has helped alot in the kitchen knowing what we are having ahead of time and not going in their and just looking around and wondering what we are going to have. Hope everyone has a great day.

I am the world's worst on weekly menu planning and never sticking to what is on the list, but I want to do better and I believe by linking my post to Org Junkie - a wonderful place where hundreds of women just like you and I post what they will be eating each and every week. I have received so much inspiration from all the other posters out there who faithly put up their menu each week. Go check out orgjunkie for hundreds of menu ideas. There’s nothing like walking into the kitchen and wondering what you’re going to have for dinner. It is frustrating and so this year I am going to do better.

Monday- Cheese Quesadillas, Homemade Guacamole, Re fried Beans

Tuesday- Left Overs (fridge is full from this past weekend)

Wednesday- Baked Potato Soup, Cornbread

Thursday- King Ranch chicken Casserole, Green Beans

Friday- Roasted Cornish Hen, peas, baked potato

Saturday- Chicken Strips, Fries, Baked Beans

Sunday- Chicken Enchiladas, Spanish Rice

New Year, New Attitude 2010

I have long neglected this blog, I guess mainly laziness on my part thinking it was so hard to do, but I believe if I will update the blog daily it will help me stay organized and keep a count on how much money I do actually save in a year. So, that is my goal this year is to strive and do better at keeping this up to date on the daily savings, I come across and passing the useful information along to my readers.
